Six drivers. Two championships. One team. Sonic's 2026 lineup represents some of the most exciting talent in Australian motorsport — each with a story, and each with unfinished business.
The vastly experienced Angelo Mouzouris started his circuit racing journey at Sonic through its Formula Ford program. Winning the title in 2019, Mouzouris immediately graduated to Super2 with Triple Eight Race Engineering, scoring pole on debut. Mouzouris combined his Super2 duties with a return to Sonic through its Carrera Cup program in 2022, before moving full-time into Porsches the next season. Finishing last season on the podium in Adelaide, Mouzouris will be eager to win in 2026.
A race winner on debut in Carrera Cup, Marcos Flack arrived at Sonic following a stint racing in Europe, where he claimed the 2024 GT4 title and competed in British Formula 4. Flack won on the biggest stage of all, the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, and continues to be a strong performer in Porsches. Guest stints in GT3s at the Bathurst 12 Hour leave Flack well placed to add to his win tally in 2026.
Rodney Jane is a veteran of Porsche racing in Australia and his journey at Sonic spans more than 20 years. The reigning Carrera Cup Pro-Am champion has been a loyal Sonic driver, as proven by the team being his only choice after ending a decade-long sabbatical in 2022. Jane made the transition from Carrera Cup to Super2 alongside Sonic, leading to three seasons in the second tier to Supercars. Jane will aim to defend his Pro-Am title this season.
Arriving from Malaysia as a JMR Junior Driver, Hayden Haikal will be a driver to watch in Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge in 2026. Haikal was awarded 2024 National Driver Of The Year of Malaysia, is the 2024 Sepang 1000km Endurance Race Champion, and finished 3rd overall in the 2025 TSS The Super Series Championship (GT4). Haikal is a supremely quick driver ready to shake up the established competitors and fight for the title.
Graduating from the highly competitive Radical Australia Cup, Ruairi Avern is the latest of a promising group of drivers to compete in the class. The West Australian will be making his Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge debut in 2026 and is the next to target a rise up the Sonic development pathway.
Following an impressive stint in Europe, which included two Rookie podiums in his first ever British Formula 4 event, Xavier Avramides will expect to make the switch from open-wheelers to sports cars seamlessly. Avramides is an exciting addition to the Sonic team and is expected to be a frontrunner in Porsche Motorsport Australia's second-tier series.
